Parents & Citizens Association

The P&C is a wonderful opportunity to work in a community to support your child’s public school. The aims of a school’s P&C are to:

    • promote the interests of the school through cooperation between parents, teachers, students and members of the general community;
    • assist in the provision of resources, facilities and amenities for the school; and,
    • foster community interest in educational matters.

School Education Act 1999, part 3, division 8, subdivision 2, section 143

The website for the WA Council of State School Organisations (WACSSO) is a very informative one for parents of public school students.

Our school welcomes your interest in, and support of, our P&C.

P&Cs give parents an opportunity to learn about the school’s policies and programs; organising ways in which parents can share in shaping and developing school policies; bring parents together to share information and views; assist in building positive relationships between students, their  families and their school; help raise funds to provide extra resources.

We Welcome You

New members of our school community are encouraged to pop in to one of our meetings. It’s a great way to get to know your school and your community better.

However, you don’t need to attend meetings, or even be a member to help. The P&C reports in school newsletters what projects we are working on and requests help from parents at regular intervals. You can also visit our website for news, information and upcoming events. Please feel encouraged to offer to help a couple of times a year, as all work that we do goes back to our children at our school.
